How to disinfect glasses at home

Published: 25 July

In times of pandemic it is necessary not to neglect the cleaning and disinfection of the glasses that are worn daily.

After washing and disinfecting your hands you can clean your frame, both in metal and acetate, in the same way you wash your hands.
Apply a little neutral liquid soap and with warm water gently rub the entire surface of both the lenses and the frame. To dry it, always gently use thin handkerchiefs.

To disinfect them, the use of ethyl alcohol can ruin the frame for both acetate and metal ones, I advise you to disinfect them with the same disinfectants that we use for our hands, always using a thin handkerchief.

Do not use detergents and kitchen cleaners that can corrode the lenses and damage the frame.

Finally, remember to change or wash the microfibre cloth often as it can be a carrier of microbes.

Stay home and safe.
